Partner terms

These terms apply if you join the SaveTrees partner programme. They are an agreement between you and SaveTrees Ltd (“we” or “us”), company number 8816659, registered in England and Wales.

1. Joining the programme

You apply through our partner sign-up page, using a form provided by Partnero, which also runs our partner portal. By applying, you agree to these terms. We review each application and may decline one. You become a partner when we approve you.

The programme is for businesses and people acting in the course of their business.

2. Referring customers

We give you a referral link, and we may also give you a discount code. A customer counts as your referral when they sign up through your link or use your code, and all of these apply:

• they are a new customer, meaning their organisation does not already have a SaveTrees account;
• they have confirmed their email address; and
• we have approved their account.

We credit one partner for each customer. If more than one partner could claim a customer, we normally credit the one whose link or code was used most recently.

3. Tracking and missed referrals

We track referrals through Partnero, and no tracking is perfect. Your click count may be lower than the true number, because of visitors’ cookie choices, ad blockers and how people move between devices. Clicks are for your information. Commission depends on referred customers, not clicks.

If you think a referral has been missed, tell us within 30 days of the customer signing up. We will check it, and credit you if we are satisfied that it is yours. We do not credit referrals reported after those 30 days, and no commission is due on them.

4. Commission

We pay you commission on what each referred customer pays us for SaveTrees, for as long as they remain a paying customer. Your commission rate is the one we agree with you, and we will confirm it when we approve your application. There are no targets or minimums.

• Commission is worked out on the amount the customer actually paid, after any discount and excluding VAT.
• No commission is due on an amount we refund or credit, or that is charged back. If we have already paid commission on that amount, we may deduct it from what we next owe you.
• No commission is due on a customer or payment that came from a breach of these terms.

5. Discounts for your customers

We decide the discount your code gives and how long it lasts, and we will tell you what these are. You may not promise any other discount or price on our behalf.

6. Payment

Your commission is shown in your Partnero account. We pay it through Partnero, on the schedule shown there, using the payment details you give. You are responsible for keeping those details up to date and for any tax due on what you receive.

7. What we ask of you

• Describe SaveTrees accurately, and do not make promises on our behalf.
• Make it clear that you may earn commission, wherever the law or advertising rules require it.
• Follow marketing and data protection law, including the rules on marketing emails and cookies.
• Do not refer yourself, your own business or anyone connected with you in order to earn commission, and do not create false sign-ups.
• Do not bid on “SaveTrees” or similar terms in paid search or other advertising without our agreement.
• Use our name, logo and partner badge only as we provide them on our brand assets page, and stop using them if we ask you to.

8. Our relationship

You are an independent business. Nothing in these terms makes you our employee, agent or joint venture partner, and you cannot commit us to anything. The programme is not exclusive on either side.

9. Customer information

Partnero may show you limited details of the customers you refer. Use them only to keep track of your referrals. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data.

10. Ending the partnership

You may leave at any time by telling us. We may end your partnership on 30 days’ notice, or immediately if you seriously break these terms or act dishonestly.

When a partnership ends, you stop referring new customers. We keep paying commission on customers you have already referred, for as long as they remain paying customers, unless we ended the partnership because you broke these terms. In that case, commission stops and we may withhold any amount that came from the breach.

11. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms or your commission rate by giving you 30 days’ notice by email. A change to your commission rate applies only to payments customers make after it takes effect. If you do not agree to a change, you may leave before it takes effect.

12. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit. Otherwise, we are not liable for loss of profit or for indirect losses, or for losses caused by tracking failing or by SaveTrees or Partnero being unavailable. Our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to the commission paid or payable to you for that period.

13. General

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. Nobody other than you and us has any right to enforce them.
